100% profits to charity through our new sound effects store and membership upgrades

Here at zapsplat.com we’ve been giving away our free sound effects for almost a year, and our user base continues to grow. All our profits are currently going into development and maintenance. We are non-profit, but until our profits increase enough to be distributed, they will continue to benefit the site and our users.

So, with this in mind we are developing a new sound effects store, separate from our free sound library and will run parallel with it.

Our new sound effect store will sell sound effects from professional libraries from around the world, all available to download in high quality wav file format for as little as £1.

100% of profits donated to charity

It was always our vision to donate 100% of the profits of zapsplat.com to charity, and our new store should help us achieve this goal. We will pay our contributing libraries 50% of the sale price of their sounds, while 100% of the profit we make throughout the site will go to our charity of choice (yet to be confirmed). 100% of our profits means all the money we make, minus server, storage and any other operating costs. We don’t pay any wages as zapsplat.com is run by volunteers. We hope to be able to donate up to £3000 per year by the end of 2016, increasing to £10,000 per year by 2017.

Monies raised by zapsplat.com currently are through Gold Membership upgrades, but our new store will help us raise substantially more.

So please watch this space for more information. Our store is currently under development but when launched, we hope to have more than 50,000 sound effects, increasing to 100,000 sound effects by the end of the year.

Our free sound effects library will still be our focus and still increase by up to 300 new sound effects per week!
