When upgrading with us, our payment processors can sometimes takes a few minutes to finalise the process. If you decide you want to cancel your subscription with us straight away and before our system has fully completed its process, it’s possible the payment profile won’t cancel successfully. So by waiting 30 minutes, this gives our system enough time to process and complete your subscription set up.
You can cancel your upgrade anytime after 30 minutes in your profile area safe in the knowledge that no further payments will be taken and you’ll have an active Gold account for the paid for period.
Obviously we hope you decide to keep your subscription going with us to benefit from your Gold Account on an ongoing basis, but you are free to cancel anytime.

When you sign up to be a member at zapsplat.com we create you a Basic account. With a Basic account you can still download as many sound effects and music tracks as you like for free. However those sounds are only available as mp3 files (but high quality) and you can download 4 sounds or sound packs every 60 minutes to help preserve bandwidth. You are also required to credit us if you use our sounds.

Yes we do and we encourage all our members to enable it. Two-factor authentication (2FA) strengthens account security by requiring two methods to verify your identity. Yes, we now give you the option to upgrade your account for multiple users. This allows you to make one recurring payment that covers as many users as you like. Users must login through one / the upgraded account. You can cancel this at anytime. Currently it’s not possible to remove users from the subscription without cancelling it and starting a new subscription.
Yes we offer the option for agencies and teams of people to upgrade at a discounted rate. When doing so, the team admin can set up a monthly or yearly subscription, set the number of seats required and assign these seats to their team members.

Yes, you can edit a sound file to match your needs. For example, you might need to change the pitch, crop or loop one of our sounds to fit your project. You’ll likely be mixing our sound files with others to build layered ambiences, or more complex sounds for your work. This is all fine. However you can not claim that the edited sound file is a new sound and sell it, add it to a library or redistribute it in any way. The original copyright is still retained by us or our contributors and the sound is still licensed to you for your use.
Our audio files will download to the download folder on your computer, the same place all your downloads go to from any other website or source, unless you’e specified another folder for downloads to go to. If still can’t find them, the following article should help.

No, our previews are low quality for evaluation purposes only which helps the previews load faster and puts less strain on our server.
