Part of the drive to increase our range of royalty free music is to record around two new tracks a week. So last week, after the release of Return to Ankara, a Turkish themed song, I also release four new music tracks. Here are the details:
Undercover
I’m a lover of crime movies and as such the music that goes with them. So first on the agenda was to write some simple underscores that our users can use to set a dark, crime style tone to their movies (or whatever else they are useful for). Undercover is an arpeggio driven dark underscore that features orchestral drums, deep, dark piano stabs and a sinister, glassy droning melody on top. The track doesn’t have much progression due to the fact it’s designed as an underscore and should suit scenes of criminal planning, skilled activity or an undercover stakeout.
Before the Siege
Continuing on with the dark underscore theme, Before the Siege is another arpeggio driven royalty free music track and features dark driving orchestral percussion hits. A dark synthesised choir stab starts each bar, with a sinister shrill style synth pad melody. Again, this underscore should work well for a movie scene featuring criminal activity, or some form of complex planning etc.
The Boss
This track is another dark underscore but a bit more up-tempo than the previous two. A arpeggio sets the dark tone and runs through out. Orchestral percussion adds a faster pace to this piece, while the overall speed of the track remains slow. Originally written as music for a mafia boss stakeout scene, the underscore will work well for any dark, sinister criminal theme, or even covert military activity
A Movement Forever
Taking a completely different turn, this royalty free music track is a dreamy, light harp driven piece with a sincere, loving and romantic tone. The harp melody sits on top of a piano rhythm, warm pads and orchestral strings. I wrote this as a romantic piece, however it could be used for anything with a loving theme… Check it out for yourself and use it as you see fit
I have had more requests come through today for some classic rock music, which as someone who writes primarily with synthesised instruments may be a bit harder but I’ll be giving it a go. If you have any requests, be sure to post them up on our forum and I’ll do what I can to help.
